The semester is winding down. At this juncture, the project-based learning website that I’ve been making for my class is nearly complete. I’ve gotten some excellent feedback from my classmates about what I can do to improve my site. Those comments will inform the design decisions that I make for the site from here on out.
We were given a rubric this week that I don’t remember seeing before. That doesn’t mean that Dr. Parlin didn’t post it. I just don’t remember seeing it. In any event, it gives us a deeper look at some of the things we should be adding to our site like a reference to 21st century skills. I know we’ve talked about them, but I was unaware that those needed to go on my site. I’ll be adding those plus the other elements that the rubric brings up.
For the moment, I’m also going to be “hiding” the portion of Wonderland Cafe that deals with Internet safety. Doing that will allow me to push the focus of the site onto the foodie portion. That should make it easier to grade and to navigate for the time being.
Most of the work now will be cosmetic. I’m not going to write too much here because I’ll be adding to this blog as the days progress.
**In the spirit of this project, which always seems to be under construction, I thought I'd post this behind-the-scenes Alice-in-Wonderland video. Enjoy!
